Day 1 – Mumbai Airport Coffee with the incredible view of the Stok mountain range above Leh City. 🏔 Breathtaking view of Ladakh and Stok Kangri from the rooftop of the royal Leh Palace! This palace was built during the 1500s and is a beautiful example of medieval Tibetan architecture! #lehpalace#leh Tranquility ⛩ Faith and Prayers Both Are Invisible but They Make Impossible Things Possible. I am not the moon orbiting around your planet; I am the sun that will burn through your frozen mind 😎 Sangam is the confluence of Indus and Zanskar Rivers in Ladakh. It is located 35km from Leh in Nimmu, on the Leh Srinagar highway. The two rivers can be separately seen meeting at this point. While the Indus River appears as shiny blue, Zanskar River appears muddy green. It is a spectacular site to witness. Kardungla Pass Khardung LaGateway to the Shyok and Nubra Valley, the Khardungla Pass is strategically a very important landmass for the country. Famous for being the highest motorable pass with an elevation of 5359 metres, the pass is a favourite spot among the bike riders and adventure lovers. The pass has mighty mountains on both of its sides, which further offer the most dramatic views one can imagine. Magnetic Hill, the place where gravity takes a backseat. Lying at a distance of around 30 km from Leh, the Magnetic Hill is marked by a yellow signboard which reads “The Phenomenon That Defies Gravity”. It also instructs you to park your vehicles in the box marked with a white point on the road, which is known as the Magnetic Road. When parked at the indicated spot, vehicles begin moving forward at a speed of almost 20km/h. Magnetic Hill lies on the Leh-Kargil-Srinagar National Highway in the Trans-Himalayan region. To the east of the Magnetic Hill flows the Sindhu River, making the surroundings a photographer’s delight. Nubra Valley Known for its orchards, scenic vistas, Bactrian camels and monasteries; Nubra Valley is the northernmost part of Ladakh. Situated about 150 km from Leh, Nubra Valley is known as the Orchard of Ladakh and was originally called Ldumra which meant the valley of flowers. Surrounded by snowcapped Himalayan ranges, Nubra valley lies sandwiched between Tibet and Ladakh. The view of the valley is picturesque and breathtaking. During winter, the whole valley looks like landscape of the moon (reason for calling Moonland) and in summer full of greenery. Disket Monastery Imitating The Future Buddha, also known as Maitreya Buddha at Distket Monastery. The biggest statue of Buddha is 106 feet. Diskit Monastery also known as Deskit Gompa or Diskit Gompa is the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery (gompa) in the Nubra Valley of Ladakh. Living in the wallpaper 🏯 Had to talk to god, drop down, and pray for this. To my surprise, he replied saying “ you were made for this “ 🙏🏻🌎💫✨ Pangong Lake, Ladakh Life is meant for spectacular adventures.Let your feet wander, your eyes marvel and your soul ignite ❤ Pangong Lake, situated at a height of almost 4,350m, is the world’s highest saltwater lake. Its water, which seems to be dyed in blue, stands in stark contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it. Extending to almost 160km, one-third of the Pangong Lake lies in India and the other two-thirds in China. Pangong Lake, one of the most famous lakes in Leh Ladakh, derives its name from the Tibetan word, “Pangong Tso”, which means “high grassland lake”. You could spend hours in contemplation here, and still not have enough of its beauty. Pangong Lake is also known to change colors, appearing blue, green, and red at different times. The beauty which awaits you there cannot be described in words. It has to be seen, felt, and absorbed within yourself. Mesmerizing sunrise at Pangong Lake 😍 3 Idiots
